If you are in an interfaith situation and feeling strain, know that you are not alone. About half of all Jewish people today are intermarrying. The frightening statistic is that nearly 75% of those marriages end in divorce; a testimony to the strains and difficulties of those relationships. Help is possible.
Interfaith couples counseling focuses on shedding light, solving problems and saving relationships. When a relationship is in trouble, the parties may not be aware of all the reasons for the conflict. This is especially true in Jewish interfaith situations. Whether or not the individuals are traditionally “religious,” cultural and family differences can cause much more added stress than non-interfaith relationships do. I work to help bring understanding and find solutions, helping couples to identify and resolve the issues of culture, faith and family.
Both my wife and I come from intermarried households, and I have worked with couples struggling with these issues for over twelve years. This is a non-profit ministry, so fees should never restrict you. You can pay as you are able.
